This self-adhering roofing underlayment is a great option for nearly all kinds of roofs.

MFM Building Products’ Ultra HT Wind & Water Seal® is a polymer-based, self-adhering roofing underlayment that’s perfect for most roof types. The underlayment is made of a white, cross-laminated, non-slip polymer film that’s coated with an aggressive high-temperature asphalt adhesive. It provides protection for the whole roof and works with shingle, shake, tile and metal roofing systems.

Whether you are repairing your roof or replacing it entirely, MFM Building Product’s Ultra HT Wind & Water Seal® is one of the best underlayments you can use. The non-slip polymer film is equipped with a split release liner, making installation an easy process, especially in valley applications. It’s engineered specifically to prevent damage from wind-driven rain, ice damming and moisture penetration.

When installed, the Ultra HT Wind & Water Seal® adheres to the roof substrate and seals itself around fasteners to prevent leaks. With a roof that is properly ventilated, the underlayment offers secondary water resistance, particularly in trouble areas like valleys and ridges. You don’t have to limit using it to just your roof! The underlayment is also suitable for exterior panel systems and parapet walls.

Other features of the product include:

  • After installation, it can be exposed for up to 90 days.

  • It adheres well to most building materials, such as plywood and metal

  • It’s rated for high-temperature applications up to 250°F

  • Comes with a 10-year limited warranty

  • Self-seals around roofing fasteners

  • Highly flexible and can withstand expansion and contractions

The underlayment is 45-mils thick and is made of a white, non-slip, cross-laminated polymer film. Roll size is 36’’ wide x 67’ length. The minimum slope for installing the underlayment is 2’’ per foot and can be installed in temperatures at or above 50°F. Its non-slip surface provides great foot traction, making it a safer choice for those installing it.

MFM backs all of their products with over 60 years of research. They continually test and evaluate each and every one of their products, so you can ensure that what they are offering is of the highest standard.
