Keeping your building in good condition is no easy feat and sometimes it may feel hard to keep up with a proper maintenance schedule. But did you know that you can use a managed asset group to help prioritize tasks? In a recent podcast, we spoke with Dawn Ciocca, senior project manager at Tremco WTI, about how their managed assets groups can be a big help in maintaining your building.
We began our conversation with Dawn by discussing why building maintenance is a crucial part of owning a building. In regards to the building’s roof, this can include repairing membrane tears, sealing exposed fasteners and removing debris
“By performing building maintenance, you're protecting your capital investments and extending the life of your roofs and building assets,” Dawn says. “There are many benefits of building maintenance, such as compliance with building codes, local laws, following warranty guidelines and cost predictability and budget planning to name a few.”
All of these tasks can be very overwhelming for building owners to keep track of. That’s why Tremco WTI now offers managed assets groups to help with the process. When working with Tremco WTI, a building owner will be assigned a program manager who takes on the responsibility of executing all of these tasks while also maintaining clear communication with the building owner.
“When we get a new national customer, we have a kickoff call that includes all the main points of contact at each site. And during that call, we would review what the service is that we're completing and the scope of work that's part of that agreement,” Dawn says. “That way, they have a better understanding of what we're going to be doing when we come to their facility, including on how we plan to execute that work.”
