In a new episode of the AskARoofer Podcast, Lauren White got the chance to talk to Jennifer George, the owner and president of Northern Arizona Roof Services. Jennifer has been a part of the roofing industry for over four decades. In that time, she worked for big-name roofing organizations like the Arizona Roofing Contractors Association (ARCA) for 10 years, before starting her own business with her partner Ani Diaz.
Today, Jennifer and Ani’s contracting business is known for providing quality roof service, repair and maintenance along with building strong relationships with their clients. They have built those long-lasting relationships by showing up for their clients both on the roof with a “No Leaks” guarantee and off the roof with their community outreach. Jennifer explained, “Giving back to the community has always been at the heart of who we are as individuals and also as a company. From the very beginning, we recognized that our business isn't just about roofing, it's about people in the communities that we serve. Whether there's opportunity, support, sense of belonging, it just feels right to give back.”
Jennifer and her team at Nothern Arizona Roof Services have supported their community in a variety of ways, from volunteering and donating resources to supporting initiatives and introducing students to career opportunities. Jennifer shared a few stories that have stood out to her over the years, saying, “We actively participate in local donation drives, sponsor community events and partner with organizations to create a positive impact. For example, members of our team volunteer at the Flagstaff Family Food Bank. We've donated in-kind raffle items for various charitable events, offered roof repairs with Northern Arizona Alzheimer and Dementia Alliance for elderly patients in their programs and we strongly support the Camp Rudy Arena Association and the events hosted there.”
Not only does this charitable work align with Northern Arizona Roof Services’ core values of supporting their community, but it is also a great way for them to build real, strong relationships with their client-base. Jennifer elaborated, “Being active in the community also allows us to build genuine relationships. When you're consistently involved in meaningful ways, people feel confident working with you. And you're part of the conversations in the growth of the area, and that visibility reinforces that people can reach out to us and know we're going to be there for them. It's an authentic commitment to doing what's right and that your actions align with your values.”
