If you have the right style home, a rainbow of color on your roof is not out of the question.
Recently, David Wiley and Tom Nagel were selecting a new composite slate roof for their brick, stone and stucco home. They wanted to complement the different elements on their exterior and draw even more attention to their house with a colorful roof.
Fortunately DaVinci Roofscapes has dozens of colors to choose from. That’s why I recommended two different multi-color blends. They decided on the eye-catching Aberdeen blend of five colors. This is a beautiful combination of dark gray, light brown, dark purple, green stone and dark stone.
Epic Exteriors out of Kansas City made the magic happen on the 90-year old English Tudor style home. Now the rainbow colored roof perfectly tops the home exterior.
While there’s absolutely nothing wrong about selecting just one or two colors for a roof, there’s something just a bit more fun about mixing colors. Or sometimes, in simply identifying the color your gut tells you that your roof was always meant to have.
That’s what happened to homeowner Krishna Jain. She just couldn’t stand having a dull, brown roof any longer on her Mediterranean style house. So, when she had a new Province™ Slate roof installed, she selected a Sonora blend to go with her home’s style. Now the shades of medium and dark terracotta, mixed in with dark and light clay, make her home a showpiece in the neighborhood.
“This DaVinci roof has completely changed the appearance of my home,” says Jain, a resident of St. Paul, Minnesota. “My house has a very unique look. It stands out compared to others on my street. I believe the new province slate roof has increased the value of my house.”
For the ultimate in creating a rainbow on the roof consider a Vineyard blend of eight stunning DaVinci colors.
The Pavan home in California is a 2022 Project of the Year Winner, in part due to the spectacular array of colors on the roof nestled in the woods. DaVinci tiles in dark and medium tan, light and medium gray, dark stone, light and dark violet and dark amber all combine to create a colorful synthetic slate topping on this lakefront home.
