There are four main types of shingles produced by IKO Industries; the designer shingles, the architectural shingles, the traditional shingles and the performance shingles. All of these options provide homeowners with a roof they can trust and admire. But the performance shingle lines are especially popular for the superior weather protection they achieve without giving up any aesthetic beauty.  

Performance shingles are divided into two sections, the Dynasty ® and the Nordic®. IKO Dynasty shingles are premium-quality laminated products that carry a Class 3 Impact Resistance rating. IKO Nordic shingles are also a laminate product, but they add a Limited High-Wind Warranty for winds up to 130 mph and have earned a Class 4 Impact Resistance rating. All of these performance shingles incorporate IKO’s ArmourZone®, which is a special reinforcing tape that creates a bigger nailing zone with more fastening power. This makes installation faster and more secure, providing further protection against weather events such as wind uplift.  

The Dynasty and Nordic lines are truly function-based shingles, but they do not sacrifice design along the way. In fact, in 2023 IKO announced the addition of the color Summit Grey to the performance shingles. This charcoal color was inspired by North America’s majestic mountains and offers homeowners a great opportunity to increase their home’s curb appeal. With the addition of Summit Grey, IKO performance shingles come in 12 high-definition color blends, so there's something out there for every homeowner.
