If you think RGS Exteriors and Construction is just like any other company in the industry, you'd be mistaken. With a heritage that spans five generations, this Utah-based company has evolved from focusing mainly on rain gutters to a full-service exterior company specializing in gutters, stucco, stone, brick, siding, windows, gutter covers and heating elements. In a recent episode of Roofer of the Month, Megan Ellsworth interviewed Tim Brown, owner of RGS Exteriors, about what makes the company stand out.
"Our family has been in the exterior side of things for a long time," Tim said, sharing the company's long-standing history that began in the early 1990s. "We're the only two elite preferred James Hardie contractor in Utah," he added. Experts in everything exterior, especially gutters and James Hardie siding, the company excels by providing a wide range of services and strives to be a leader in the industry.
Aside from their services, RGS Exteriors sets itself apart with a commitment to superior customer service and great company culture. During their monthly company meetings, they celebrate birthdays, work anniversaries and even hand out monthly bonuses. The company also incentivizes employees to deliver top-notch service by rewarding them for earning positive Google reviews from satisfied customers. "Our company culture is probably our biggest win," Tim noted.
Additionally, as a member of Certified Contractors Network, RGS Exteriors places an importance on community engagement. Tim pointed out the benefits of exchanging insights across industries as a way to spur growth and improvement. Although RGS Exteriors doesn't offer roofing services, the company benefits from the shared experiences and challenges within the larger exterior industry network.
In an industry where longevity counts, Tim confidently asserted, "If we can withstand the last five generations, we're going to be here certainly as long as your home needs it."
