Residential roofing shingles

• Landmark® ClimateFlex® - Earlier this year, CertainTeed announced the expanded availability of its durable, all-weather performance shingle, which boasts an industry-leading Class 4 rating for hail damage protection, and is now offered in the North Central, East Central and Lake Central regions, as well as parts of Canada. This meets the growing demand for all-weathered roofs as extreme weather conditions continue to rise.  
• Northgate® ClimateFlex®  - These designer shingles offer the beauty and dimensionality of wood shake roofing in the form of a durable, polymer-modified asphalt. This results in high-quality roofing that offers enhanced resistance to damaging hail and superior surface granule adhesion (compared to standard asphalt shingles), as well as all-weather performance that protects a home year-round in any climate.  
• Landmark Solaris® AR - February 2023 marked the expansion of the cool roof version of CertainTeed’s popular Landmark shingle, now available in all regions of the U.S. and Canada in two rich, authentic colors: Graphite and Weathered Wood. Solaris, an industry-first technology developed by CertainTeed, features a special granule surface blend that partially reflects solar energy, making your roof cooler than standard roofing shingles. It’s ecologically smart, beautifully durable and architecturally ideal for homes in sunny climates or locations where solar heat is a challenge. Solaris AR comes equipped with StreakFighter technology – copper-infused surface granules that possess natural anti-algae properties to help roofs maintain their beauty and original color.  
• Landmark® PRO - Three striking new hues for Landmark PRO – Max Def Coastal Blue, Max Def Espresso, Max Def Red Oak – will be on display at WRE. This collection delivers peace-of-mind on projects that call for a premier aesthetic at an affordable price – all backed by an industry-leading, lifetime-limited warranty, and certified to meet the industry’s toughest third-party (UL) manufacturing quality standards. Landmark PRO comes equipped with NailTrak® wide nailing to help contractors install shingles with speed and accuracy.   

The Presidential® Family is the original luxury shingle series created to replicate the appearance of hand-split cedar shakes in the form of premium roofing asphalt. The shade, texture and rustic sculpted edges of each Presidential Series shingle combine to create a sophisticated design that stands far above the rest. Unlike wood, these shingles will not rot, and offer the industry’s highest fire resistance rating.  

• Presidential Shake® - The founding father of wood shake replicas. The top tier performance of asphalt, the curb appeal of hand-split cedar shake roofing, and the unwavering quality of CertainTeed. Presidential Shake offers an intricate shingle design that creates an architecturally beautiful roof in a rich color palette to enhance and complement any home exterior.  
• Presidential Shake IR - Offers sculpted edges and staggered design combined to give roofs the charm and beauty of authentic wood shakes while protecting homes from damaging storms. Engineered from two heavyweight laminated layers of the industry's most durable asphalt and an extra-strength fiberglass base sheet, it achieves the highest impact resistant rating from Underwriters Laboratories (UL). 
• Presidential Solaris® - Is a cool roof shingle designed to replicate the look of hand-split wood shakes while providing durability and strength that outperforms wood. Two laminated layers of high-quality asphalt provide durability and dimensionality and are offered in a traditional color palette that can help save on your energy costs.  
• Presidential® Shake® TL - The only three-layer shingle of its kind in the industry, with more asphalt for stronger protection against weathering and thermal shock. Presidential Shake TL’s sculpted tabs provide the unique, rustic beauty of hand-split cedar shake roofing It is designed to resist blow off in high wind conditions up to 110-mph with normal installation and 130-mph with special installation.  

Solar solutions  

In March, CertainTeed announced the launch of Solstice, one of the most technologically advanced and reliable solar solutions on the market. Leveraging its deep expertise in roofing material design, CertainTeed developed Solstice® from a roofer’s perspective – offering solutions that complement a home’s aesthetic and durability to ensure it can weather years of changing seasons and challenging conditions.

Residential roofing underlayments  

• GRACE Select™ - GRACE SELECT™ is a smooth surface, rubberized asphalt adhesive roofing underlayment made up of two waterproofing materials – a rubberized asphalt adhesive backed by a layer of high density cross-laminated polyethylene. The unique, advanced rubberized asphalt formation allows the membrane to exceed industry standards for fastener sealability compared to products that are often significantly thicker and heavier. 
• GRACE ICE & WATER SHIELD® Underlayment - The introduction of GRACE ICE & WATER SHIELD® underlayment in 1978 advanced roofing technology as the first self-adhering roofing underlayment. Today, the original self-adhered underlayment continues to deliver superior waterproofing performance on more than two million roofs, as it seals to itself at overlaps, seals to the roof deck and seals around fasteners used to attach shingles, creating a full-bonded adhesion. These features help prevent water from leaking into a home. Backed by CertainTeed’s SureStart™ warranty, customers can further protect their homes and roofing products during the vital early years following installation and for up to 50 years with SureStart Plus™.  
• RoofRunner® - RoofRunner® lightweight synthetic polymer-based underlayment outperforms felt and outclasses other synthetics. Designed for use on roof decks as a water-resistant layer beneath asphalt roofing shingles, this reinforced underlayment includes a special top surface treatment that provides excellent slip resistance, even when wet 
• DiamondDeck® - CertainTeed's DiamondDeck® High Performance Synthetic Underlayment is manufactured to provide best-in-class performance in terms of both weather protection and contractor safety. DiamondDeck is a synthetic, scrim-reinforced, water-resistant underlayment that can be used beneath shingle, shake, metal or slate roofing. It has exceptional dimensional stability compared to standard felt underlayment. 
• WinterGuard® - WinterGuard® waterproofing shingle underlayment is the solution for winning the battle against water penetration in your roof's most vulnerable places. WinterGuard is a composite material of asphalt polymers, formed into a rolled sheet. The asphalt makes it vapor-tight, and the polymers make the asphalt elastic and sticky. This protective barrier is able to stretch and seal around nails driven through it. WinterGuard is available in the following surface types to meet the needs of every roof style, slope and preference: granular, sand, metal and HT.
